Building Prospects Part 2

Building Prospects is a fun, peer led program of hour-long workshops, designed to empower blind and partially sighted young people between the ages of 13 and 18. We create a confidence building, supportive environment which helps participants explore pathways towards the career of their dreams. We will explore and equip participants with CV writing tips, how and where to job search, an interview master class and opportunity to practice mock interviews with leading employers in their field of work

The workshops will run every Monday and Wednesday evening from 17:00 to 18:00 for 5 consecutive weeks (11th November – 13th December).

Interested candidates should apply using the link below by 10am on Friday 8th November: https://forms.office.com/e/VF1He8dP8Q

Expectations Exceeded

Expectation Exceeded is one of our headline workshops for young people, parents, caregivers, friends, and family members. This interactive online event enables participants to learn from and speak with blind and visually impaired people who are working towards or successful in their chosen careers. You will gain insights into their education, finding work, the technology they use and what support they’ve received.  Importantly, participants will be encouraged by the panels experiences and understand the importance of being ambitious through education and into employment.

This event welcomes young people living with a visual impairment along with their parents, caregivers, friends and family members.  It will be hosted on Thursday 21st November over Zoom between 6pm – 7pm.

Interested families should register by Monday 18th November using the form that follows:  https://forms.office.com/e/hP1QpVzkaD

The event will be hosted on Zoom on Tuesday 26th November from 4pm. Interested parties should register by Friday 22nd November using the form that follows: https://forms.office.com/e/M20JH5Yn1G
