Sport Young Achievers Award
Get active – look after your physical wellbeing,
mental health, and the world around you!

The VICTA Sport Young Achievers Award challenges you to take on three rounds of sporting fun to become the ultimate VICTA Sport Young Achiever.
Have a go at different sports, work on improving your skills and support the environment through physical activity. The award is for children following a primary curriculum – find out how you can take part today.
There areĀ 3 rounds to complete and a pin badge to collect for each round as you work toward earning your medal. You can join the award at any time.
- Round 1 – Get Set
- Round 2 – Game On
- Round 3 – Super Me

In each round, you will need to complete three tasks:
- Have a go at a sport āĀ This is about participating in different sports and physical activity. You can have a go at more than one sport in a round, but you will need to choose different sports to try in the other rounds. E.g in āGet Setā you could try football and cricket but in āGame Onā and āSuper Meā you will need to try different sports.
- Work on your skills ā Setting personal challenges to develop your physical literacy skills that will help you when participating in sports and physical activity. E.g You might choose to improve your catching skills in āGet Setā and challenge yourself to catch a ball ten times in a row, or from further distances. You will then need to choose a new skill to work on in āGame Onā and āSuper Meā.
- Support the environment through sport and physical activity ā Reduce, reuse, repurpose ā how can sports do better at protecting the environment? E.g using a reusable water bottle, creating a āhome gymā out of household items, repurposing old footballs into hanging baskets ā the possibilities are endless!
The step by step guide to earning your VICTA Sport Young Achievers Award
- Step one āĀ Make sure you read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page before you start to make sure you are eligible to take part.
- Step two āĀ Decide which three activities to do to complete your first round, āGet Setā (a sport, a skill, an environmentally friendly sports activity). Visit the task pages below to find lots of inspiration and ideas. For example, for your skill task you might record yourself completing a keepy-uppy challenge. Or, for your eco-friendly activity you might complete a litter pick of your local sports field.
As well as trying our suggestions, we also encourage Sport Young Achievers to think outside the box and submit your own activity ideas. If you are unsure as to whether an activity would be accepted, please get in touch at sports@victa.org.uk.. - Step three āĀ Once youāve decided which tasks youād like to do, itās time to get started. Donāt forget to take photos or videos as you go along. Youāll need these to submit at the end to complete your rounds and earn your badges.
- Step four āĀ Once you have completed your three tasks for the round, visit the appropriate round page and complete our entry form. It will ask you to add some photos or links to videos so that we can see what you did.
- Step five āĀ Once the round comes to an end, weāll look at what you have all been doing and send out your badge and certificate. If you have given us photo consent, we will celebrate your achievements on our social media and website.
- Step six āĀ Thereās no rest for Young Achievers! Itās time to do it all again and complete your second and third rounds.
- Step seven āWhen youāve completed all three rounds and earned your pin badges, youāre officially a VICTA Sport Young Achiever! We will send out a final certificate and medal!
You spoke. We listened.
Does your Sport Young Achiever have a sibling that does the award alongside them? Weād like to recognise all those Super Siblings out there ā we know you work just as hard as your brother or sister. When you submit your activities, make sure to pop the name of your Super Sibling on the form and weāll celebrate them with their very own set of pin badges and once all badges have been collected, a very special Super Sibling medal!
