We are celebrating Dotty, who has had incredible fundraising success while earning her Young Achievers Community pin badge. So far, Dotty has raised over £600 through her sponsored walk, amazing!

Dotty’s parents tell us how she organised her fundraising event and what made it a great success:

Dotty chose to do a sponsored walk as part of her Young Achievers Award with VICTA, we chose a 5 mile walk near Dotty’s School. We sent a message to Dotty’s friends and parents and WOW we were overwhelmed by the support we got. The walk started at West Hanningfield Village Hall and we then walked to the Windmill Pub where we stopped for some yummy ice-cream and a well-deserved drink. We then set off on our journey back where Dotty’s Daddy and friends were waiting to greet her with a massive round of applause and lots of proud tears (from Daddy).

Dotty’s teachers at school Mrs S, Mrs B, Mrs L, Mrs S wanted to bake delicious cakes and sell them to raise money for VICTA, well the cakes were an amazing success, they were so lovely even the locals came and bought some.

After everyone ate cake, got a VICTA sticker and signed Dotty’s T-shirt, all the children enjoyed running around the park while the adults moaned about their aches and pains.

The day was amazing, the support Dotty got was absolutely fantastic and we are so happy we could raise money for VICTA!
